Origin of the data

The European Motivation Index® is based on results from employee surveys amongst employees of widely varying European organisations, in both profit and non-profit branches. This survey was first conducted in 2005 and takes place since annually.

The Organisational X-ray® model provides you with an exhaustive insight into organisational performance.

The HR variables you see in the European Motivation Index® are based on a combination of strong conclusions from various theoretical models and conversations with HRM boards of leading organisations.

These HR variables are combined in the Effectory Organisational X-ray®. This model provides you with an exhaustive insight into organisational performance from the perspective of employees.

Launched in 2006 by Effectory, the Organisational X-ray® is an innovative model that demonstrates the relation between employee satisfaction, motivation, commitment, engagement, loyalty, effectivity, efficiency, customer orientation, turnover intention, absenteeism and vitality.

The Dutch National Satisfaction Index®

Included in the European Motivation Index® is the Dutch National Satisfaction Index®, the largest and most up-to-date benchmark for the Netherlands. The Dutch National Satisfaction Index® provides you with insight in both employee and customer satisfaction.

The Dutch National Satisfaction Index® works according to a tree diagram and is constructed to in a way to show overall and then go into detail.

Overall satisfaction encompasses 8 main subjects, exemplified by one question each, and every one of those subjects is classified into more detail by underlying questions.

Entirely in line with the philosophy of the European Motivation Index® and the Dutch National Satisfaction Index®, those 8 main questions are not calculated artificially by assigning weighting to the underlying question. The reverse does occur: the scores on overall satisfaction are used to determine the importance (weight) of the underlying questions.
